Christmas is just around the corner and visions of sugarplums are definitely dancing in my head! I just wish my children were all nestled in their beds... Yep, Kennedy Layne has made her grand entrance into the what was just getting to be "under control" Hopson household. Not so much! Now that Haylie is 2 and a half she has taken on the role of "big sis" tremendously. I don't think Kennedy could have come a day later than September 1st and we would have made it through this absolutley CRAZY holiday season! It's hectic enough just with the Christmas hustle and bustle; traveling to all the shows, keeping up with the store and then you throw a 2 1/2 year old and a newborn in the mix and you get complete chaos! Fellow moms please email me your crazy stories about this time of year to make me feel better...
But, I honestly have zero to complain about. I feel like the luckiest mom in the world with my two girls, as every other mom feels about their darlings I'm sure. Haylie's already got her own set of jewelry-making tools. She's in training daily as she "helps" mommy (yea right!) fill my orders. She asked me to show her how to make earrings today, as a matter of fact... that would be too nice. Kennedy challenges me to keep my sanity as I juggle the jewels, potty-training and nursing. I must be insane, but I do bring it upon myself. I guess I'm one of those who strives on absolute mayhem...hmmm. What can I say, I can't sit still, multi-tasking is my way of life. I have my mother to thank for that, I'll thank my dad for my business sense, or lack there of at times! Somehow I manage to get it done, only because of my amazing help. My sister, Brittany, who runs the store and thank God doesn't have kids yet! My mom, who's Britt's sidekick. The two of them have been to I think ten cities in the past three months doing shows, which is scary in and of itself! Boy do they have their own unique selling tactics. Let's just say they have a good time wherever they are and whoever they're with. What a team!
So we're going to be featured on the morning talkshow, The View, on ABC this week. That should be interesting...hopefully the website doesn't crash, I guess if you're reading this it hasn't yet! I don't really know what to do in preparation, I almost don't even want to think of it, I'm just going to take it as it comes to prevent a nervous breakdown! Timing is everything, huh. Bring it on!
In all seriousness, another blessed year has passed and we couldn't have done it with out all of you. So thank-you, thank-you for your constant support. You all look so good in your Codi jewels, it makes me so happy to see it. We at the Hopson household and at Codi The Boutique would like to wish you all a magical holiday season and a sparkling New Year!
Love always,
